This research report presents worldwide mobile phone shipment volume forecast and recent quarter review of major mobile phone vendor performance. The report includes major vendors' shipment volume and growth, shipment revenue and growth, operating profit and ASP, along with analytical insights. The finding shows that the worldwide mobile phone shipment volume increased 13.2% sequentially and 1.7% year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2015, to around 540.4 million units, owing largely in part to year-end purchase demand. Though Apple continued to enjoy over 50% sequential growth, 2016 will be its first year to witness shipment volume decline. Huawei, on the other hand, outperformed others in 2015, with its shipment volume breaking 100 million units. Shipment volume of the global smartphone industry is anticipated to top around 357 million and 361 million units in the first and second quarter of 2016, respectively. Year-on-year growth is estimated at 4.3% and 7.0%.
