James Moore, Analyst

James Moore is a Research Analyst among the Data & Forecasting team and his primary focus is the updating of content on the World Cellular Information Service.

He has also contributed to numerous reports such as a report on infrastructure sharing as well as writing for the Intelligence Centres. His regional focus is on the Indian sub-continent and he has attended conferences and trade fairs in Asia Pacific including CommunicAsia in Singapore and GSM India.

Areas of interest have included amongst others the analysis of historical subscription growth and forecasts, examination of the uptake of data services, analysis of trends of performance operational data, investor developments in the region, and an analysis of the infrastructure vendors in the Indian subcontinent including the increasing trend towards passive infrastructure sharing and outsourced infrastructure deals.

James is also a member of the Handset & Devices team and has had a particular focus on monitoring the activities of the Japanese and Korean handset manufacturers including LG, NEC and Samsung. He maintains and updates the Handset Database and plays an integral role in the publication of the quarterly World Cellular Handset Tracker.

Angela Stainthorpe, Analyst

Angela Stainthorpe is a research analyst with Informa Telecoms & Media. She is lead author on Informa’s Mobile Distribution and Retail report, and has contributed research and analysis to a number of other successful reports and database products. Her experience also includes tracking the Asia Pacific mobile market for Informa’s World Cellular Information Service and analysing UMTS900 strategies in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to her role as research analyst, Angela produced market-leading events covering diverse topics in mobile content and applications. Angela holds a first-class Bachelor’s degree and Master’s with distinction in Religion and Politics from the University of Manchester.
