Home > Market Research > Networks & Infrastructure > Evolving the Access Network
The future network will consist of a multiplex of services over the broadband infrastructure.
Evolving the network from existing traditional architectures should focus on enlarging capacity, broadening bandwidth, multiplexing services, and ensuring QoS. Now that the core network has been transformed into a broadband network, the key focus is on evolving the access layer. The objective is to migrate traditional services onto a future-oriented, IP–based broadband network, extend traditional services, and develop new services. Evolving the Access Networks will examine recent technology advances, architecture alternatives, and business models for bringing the access network into the 21st century.
