Earl Lum
EJL Wireless Research is managed by Earl Lum. Mr. Lum has 14 years of experience within the wireless industry. Prior to starting EJL Wireless Research, Mr. Lum was the Managing Director of the Wireless Technology Equity Research sector for Montgomery & Co. During his time at Montgomery & Co., Mr. Lum pioneered and positioned Montgomery & Co. as a leader in the Mobile Game Content sector as the author of “The 3-D Mobile Game Market: Development, Discovery , Delivery” market analysis report and has become a respected resource for the mobile game market.
Before joining Montgomery & Co., Mr. Lum spent 7 years as the Executive Director for the Wireless Technology Equity Research group at CIBC World Markets. His team pioneered the methodology of supply chain analysis for equity research within the wireless sector. Mr. Lum also established core research areas focusing on compound semiconductor technologies including: GaAs, SiGe, InP, SiC and GaN.
Prior to joining Wall Street, Mr Lum also served as senior research analyst at Gartner Group/Dataquest. He established the wireless semiconductor research platform and pioneered research in the emerging GaAs compound semiconductor market.
Mr Lum also worked as Senior RF Design Engineer for Tyco Electronics M/A-Com, RF Transistor R&D Engineering Manager for Spectrian Corporation and Product Engineer at National Semiconductor Corporation.
Mr. Lum holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara
Richard Kraemer
Richard Kraemer is a Senior Contributing Analyst for EJL Wireless Research. EJL Wireless Research clients will benefit from Mr. Kraemer's extensive background in the semiconductor and component markets, along with 25 years of RF & Wireless industry experience. Mr. Kraemer brings unique market insights, valuable industry contacts and creative energy into our projects.
As a serial entrepreneur, Mr. Kraemer has participated in numerous successful start ups including K-Tech Sales, Bayshore Communications, Sirenza Microdevices, US Monolithics and most recently P1dB. In these ventures, he has filled various roles including: Angel Investor, Strategic Advisor, Raising Capital, Business Development, M&A Advisor, and Financial Analyst.
For the last 5 years, Mr. Kraemer has managed the Private Equity firm Railhead Partners, LLC.
Mr. Kraemer holds a B.A. in Psychology from Muhlenberg College, Allentown, Pennsylvania.
